That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that the Amazon Ads Partner Awards have returned – a program that honors and celebrates the bold and creative work that partners continue to deliver for their clients. Recognizing creative campaigns, the awards highlight Amazon Ads partners’ tactical and technological acumen across our suite of products. Participating in the awards is a way for agencies and solution providers to show what’s possible with advertising excellence.

These awards are more than a mere pat on the back. They represent a space for partners to tell their latest success story, and a highly visible way for Amazon Ads to highlight the exceptional work that partners have created for their advertising clients and for Amazon customers.

Amazon Ads advanced or verified partners will have an opportunity to apply for the Partner Awards, which champions partners who brought creativity, innovation, and excellence to their clients’ advertising campaigns that ran in the UK and the US between May 2021 – April 2022. Regardless of where you’re based, any partner who creates and delivers exceptional advertising success in the UK or the US for its clients is eligible to participate in the Partner Awards.

Amazon Ads partners are trailblazers, pioneers and creators. This award will recognize the innovative feature or service that was developed and launched by a partner, which solves a client need and helps drive measurable results for the client’s advertising business. This can come in the form of a new client-facing tool or service, or it can be the result of a partner identifying new ways to help drive advertising results for their client on Amazon.

  • How it works

    Amazon Ads advanced or verified partners who have clients advertising in the UK or the US can apply for any or all of the Partner Awards. To apply, you’ll be required to download and complete the 2022 Partner Awards application, detailing how your company achieved specified goals and drove advertising success on behalf of a client (advertiser). Submit your best work between May 2021 – April 2022 to be reviewed by our panel of judges in two rounds to select this year’s winners across each award category in each country.

    The judging process examines every aspect of a campaign, from concept and application to results. This year's judges include a mix of independent third parties from the industry and internal experts at Amazon. We’re collaborating with Kantar and IAB to bring a wide range of expertise onboard. Judges are looking for entries that are inspired, impactful, and effective.

    Winners may be announced at the Partner Awards gala ceremony on Monday, October 24, in New York City (exact location to be announced). All finalists of the 2022 Partner Awards may be invited to attend the awards gala and enjoy an evening of celebration, networking, and fun. Each partner who is a finalist may also receive two (2) complimentary tickets to attend the Amazon Ads 2022 unBoxed event, which may take place in NYC October 25 – 27.

    What is the application period for the 2022 Partner Awards?
    • May 20, 2022 – June 30, 2022
    How do I apply?
    • You can enter beginning May 20. Just make sure you submit your application by June 30, 2022.
    • The Partner Awards application includes a 300-word executive summary write-up and a series of short questions to demonstrate your work based on a client case study example. Please upload the application into the submission form directly, in English.
    • If you need any tips on how best to complete your awards submission, please see the Partner Awards entry handbook attached in the submission form. This guide contains some of our key tips, which you may find useful.
    What criteria do I need to enter?
    • Your company must have achieved advanced or verified partner status with Amazon Ads to enter for the Partner Awards.
    • The advertiser you feature in your case study example must be linked to your company within your Partner Network account.
    • If you’re applying for the UK awards, your submission(s) must demonstrate a client campaign that drove impact for your client advertising in the UK over the past year (from May 2021 – to April 2022).
    • If you’re applying for the US awards, your submission(s) must demonstrate a client campaign that drove impact for your client advertising in the US over the past year (from May 2021 – to April 2022).
    • Your client may be a vendor, seller, or a non-endemic advertiser, and can be based anywhere in the world. However, they must be advertising in the country you are applying for (either the UK or the US) to be considered for an award.
    What are the rules?
    • The window for entry to the Partner Awards will begin on Friday, May 20, 2022, and will close on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 11:50 PM PT.
    • Entries must be completed in English.
    • You must submit an application to demonstrate your work based on a successful campaign that was delivered in either the US or UK.
    • If you are submitting work on behalf of a client, make sure you have their consent. All case studies will require a client release form signed by all named parties, unless the case study is anonymized (e.g., does not feature the advertiser company’s name or any brand logo).
    • Please do not include any names of individual people in the application or in any supplementary materials.
    • All entrants must agree to the terms and conditions of the program terms and conditions.
    What is the judging process?
    • The judging process follows a two-step procedure: first, our preliminary round of judges, which includes Kantar and IAB employees will read and pre-score all entry forms, considering any supporting materials submitted. Judges will be asked to give a score for each of the judging criteria. These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges’ pre-scores will then be combined, and the highest-scoring entries will advance to our executive judging panel. Second, our executive judging panel, consisting of Amazon-selected judges, will review, score, and discuss entries to determine finalists and winners.
    How will my entry be judged?
    • Every Amazon Ads partner that enters the awards will be judged purely on the contents of their entry files and graded against other submissions within the same award category and country. Judges will utilize the criteria below to score entries. The list below is not a hierarchical list, and the judging panel may attribute a different weight to each criterion.
      • Customer obsession and overall business impact
      • Quality of entry: was the entry clear, descriptive, and informative?
      • Level of difficulty of the challenge or problem that the entrant solved for
      • Innovation in the entrant’s advertising approach
      • How the approach demonstrates excellence with Amazon Ads products
      • Results delivered base on the client’s objectives
    Can I apply for more than one award?
    • Yes, you can submit applications for as many categories as you would like. However, you may only apply once to each category in a single country (US or UK). You may also only submit the client case study once. For example, a partner cannot use the same client example for the Brand Building Award in the UK and also in the US. They also may not use the same client example for the Brand Building Award and the Performance Growth Award.
    How will you announce the finalists and winners?
    • The shortlist of finalists will be announced in September 2022 on the Amazon Ads blog. The 2022 winners will be announced in October 2022 at the Partner Awards gala and on the Amazon Ads blog.
    What do the finalists receive?
    • In addition to being spotlighted through Amazon Ads marketing channels, finalists may receive a physical trophy and a digital trophy.
    What do the winners receive?
    • In addition to being spotlighted through Amazon Ads marketing channels, award winners may receive a physical trophy and a promotional package that includes a 2022 winner digital trophy. Winners may also be considered for additional Amazon Ads marketing opportunities throughout the year, including case studies, webinars, and events.
    How will Amazon Ads use the information I provide in my award application?
    • Amazon Ads will use the information to assess your submission and determine winners. We may also use submissions to exemplify Amazon Ads success in future marketing materials or other purposes, at our option.
    How many Amazon Ads partners will win the awards?
    • In 2022, each award category will have one winner for each of this year’s eligible countries (US and UK), for a total of eight award winners.
    Will the Amazon Ads Partner Awards continue to grow
    • We intend to grow and expand the Partner Awards to more locales in the future. Stay up to date on current and future Partner Awards programs on the Amazon Ads Partner Network.
