Launch announcement

On-Amazon preview support for Amazon DSP Creatives

March 31, 2024

What launched?

We have enhanced the the preview tool in Amazon DSP to allow advertisers to view how their Standard Display and Responsive eCommerce Creative (REC) ads may look on Amazon.com. Advertisers can preview their ads in specific on-Amazon placements. Once their creatives have been saved. Each eligible site placement size matches the Amazon pages where the ad can be shown. After selecting the page-placement location, a preview of the ad on Amazon is generated, allowing you to see how the ad will appear.

Why is it important?

  • Preview on Amazon gives advertisers insights into potential shopper interactions with their ads on Amazon.com. Advertisers can use these preview tools to customize their ads for specific placements and pages, thereby improving ad performance.
  • Previewing ads on different pages and placement locations on Amazon allows advertisers to detect possible issues with their creative. They might find that their image isn't displaying correctly on Amazon's detail page, or parts of the ads are being cut off, making their message to shoppers unclear.
  • This feature enables advertisers to evaluate the potential performance of their ads on Amazon.com prior to launching their campaigns. As a result, it helps avoid wasting resources on ads that might not be successful in specific Amazon placements.
  • Advertisers utilize this tool to debug their campaigns and gain a visual understanding of why their ads may be performing well on Amazon for their target audience.
  • The on-Amazon preview will also help advertisers to learn about the various pages and locations where their ad might be displayed.
