Opening night

The Opening night template is a Campaign Landing Page format that allows advertisers to promote a new movie to generate awareness and drive ticket/product sales.

Page structure

An Opening night page consists of the following components:

1. Hero
An Opening night page must contain a hero video component providing the essential information about the movie. Alternatively, a hero image may be used instead of a video.

2. Linked Image
The hero component must contain a linked image.

3. Linked Image (optional)
The hero component may contain a second linked image.

4. Text Block
An Opening night page must contain a text block providing additional information about the movie (i.e. a movie synopsis).

5. Gallery
A gallery component must showcase up to 5 images.

6. Product list/Carousel (optional)
A product list may be used to showcase products related to the movie.

7. Text Block (optional)
An Opening night page may contain a text block providing additional information about the movie (i.e. a movie quote).

8. Hero
A Opening night page must contain a second hero image or video component to showcase additional movie branding.

9. Linked Image (optional)
A series of linked images may be used to drive awareness to more product categories.

10. Product list/Carousel (optional)
A product list may be used to end the page and further showcase products related to the movie.

Asset Checklist
  • Pre-existing standard ad units for reference
  • High-res layered .PSD files (product shots and/or lifestyle imagery)
  • Logos (vector format, .ai or .eps)
  • Any backgrounds or key art
  • Fonts (.otf or .ttf)
  • Advertising copy
  • Brand guidelines
  • Clickthrough URL or Hero ASIN
  • Video files (.mp4, .m4v, .mov, .mpeg, .avi, .dv at least 1280 x 720 px and under 500MB) and poster images (1280 x 720 px)
  • HTTPS links for any Linked Image components
Creative Refreshes

The contents of all campaign landing pages can be refreshed once during their lifetime. Additional refreshes are permitted based on budgets that are multiples of the minimum spend. The SLA for a refresh is 10 days (20 days for tailored pages).
A refresh here is defined as an update of landing page assets, not changes to the creative of media driving customers to the page.
