How Mitsubishi Motors used Amazon Live to transform the car launch experience

Mitsubishi Motors has challenged convention for more than 100 years with innovative approaches in the way they engineer and build vehicles. When it came to launching their all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander, they needed help reimagining the car launch experience, to take it from an elite, closed-door industry event to an experience shared directly with the end customers.

Enter: Amazon Ads. Through a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Amazon Ads, the Outlander was revealed to thousands of potential customers and industry experts through livestream using Amazon Live. Viewers were able to comment, ask questions—and get answers—in real time about the vehicle, directly from the designers and engineers who invented it.

Two of Mitsubishi’s major campaign goals were surpassed:

  • Live views: Live event views hit more than double the target goal in half the time allotted.1
  • Test drives: Scheduled test drives booked out completely for the first full month after the Amazon Live event.2
