What is the advertising console?
The advertising console is a self-service tool used to set up and manage sponsored ads campaigns. It contains tools that can help create and optimize your campaigns, and track and measure your performance. Watch this video for quick tips on using the ad console and an overview of some key features.
How do I manage campaigns in advertising console?
The campaign manager dashboard is your landing page. It shows the list of your campaigns and performance metrics, which can be filtered by date range. From here, you can set up a new campaign or make adjustments such as setting an end date or adjusting the budget. You can also make bulk edits like pausing multiple campaigns at once.

- The products page displays all advertised products in one place along with their advertising performance metrics, such as impressions, clicks, sales, and return on advertising spend (ROAS). You can analyze the product level performance to more granular levels and check listing improvement recommendations to help improve product conversion. In addition, advertisers can select a product or a group of products and add them to an existing campaign or create new sponsored ads campaigns from this page.
- The budgets page shows you detailed insights for your campaign budgeting, including the percentage of time your different campaigns went out of budget, and recommended budget for those campaigns. You can also add rules help your campaigns stay in budget.
- The targeting page displays a full list of all targets across your automatic, keyword, product, and audience targets for your active Sponsored Products and Sponsored Display campaigns and ad groups. You can view delivery and performance metrics for each target, as well as the top and bottom performing targets to quickly identify areas of opportunity.
How can I edit campaigns in advertising console?
- You can make edits by clicking into a specific campaign on the campaign manager. From here, you can update a budget or set a budget rule, and modify your bids for specific placements from the sidebar.
- If you’d like a more targeted approach, you can also manage settings at the ad group level. page displays a full list of all targets across your automatic, keyword, product, and audience targets for your active Sponsored Products and Sponsored Display campaigns and ad groups. You can view delivery and performance metrics for each target, as well as the top and bottom performing targets to quickly identify areas of opportunity.
What measurement and reporting features are available?
The advertising console also has measurement and reporting features to help you understand how your advertising campaigns are impacting your business. These features can help you create detailed, recurring reports on a variety of metrics. We also provide personalized tips and recommendations to help you continue optimizing your campaigns.
How can I access reports in advertising console?
To access your reports, click ‘Measurement & Reporting’ in the sidebar, then click through to ‘Sponsored ads reports’. From here, click on ‘Create report’ to set up your new custom report. You can choose your desired ad product and metric to report on, such as:
- Search term report can help you identify high-performing searches from customers, and create negative keyword or product targets for search terms that don’t meet your goals. For keywords that are generating sales, you can choose to add them to your existing campaigns, or create new campaigns using these keywords in the campaign builder.
- Placement report allows you to gain insights into your performance across different placement types, and learn which of your campaigns could benefit from adjusting bids by placement.
What support can I get in advertising console?
- Recommendations tab from the sidebar provides a variety of recommendations created just for you. Click through each recommendation for tips and actionable insights.
- As you explore the advertising console, you can always access the support center for more helpful information, by clicking the question icon in upper-right corner.
