Launch announcement

Content Controls are now available for Twitch Display inventory

April 11, 2024

What launched?

In October 2023, we launched Twitch Content Controls for Premium Video as the first step towards building native suitability controls based on the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) Suitability Framework. As of April 11, 2024, Twitch Content Controls tiers are now available for display line items within the Amazon Demand-Side Platform (DSP). Content Controls allow advertisers to exclude content that may not be suitable for their brand across gaming and non-gaming content. The controls offer three inventory tiers: expanded, moderate (default), or restrictive. Each tier progressively excludes more supply. Advertisers will have the option to select “expanded,” which will offer less content filtering. For advertisers with strict requirements, they can toggle the tier for additional filtering.

Why is it important?

Content Controls allow self-service advertisers to filter Twitch inventory to meet their brand suitability needs. The Controls provide easy to use pre-packaged solutions: expanded, moderate (default), or restrictive across display ad formats.
