Launch announcement
Engage shoppers while they shop for fun with Posts (beta) in Inspire
December 8, 2022
What launched?
Posts (beta)*, a cost-free, image led mobile shopping experience, may now appear in Inspire. Inspire is a newly launched dedicated shopping experience on the Amazon mobile app that gives customers a new way to discover ideas and products from brands they love, as well as other customers and influencers. Each customer’s Inspire feed will be personalized over time with photos, including Posts, and videos tailored to their favorite interests and engagement within the experience.
Example of a post in Inspire. With just a few taps, customers can quickly learn more about a product in Inspire including an item’s average star rating, price, reviews, and different color and style options.
Why is it important?
The inclusion of Posts in Inspire, helps brands to highlight their story and voice in a vertical feed that’s tailored to shoppers’ interests and preferences. Shoppers can access the experience from any screen with just one tap when browsing the Amazon store on the mobile app. Inspire is an in-app shopping experience where content experience can take up the whole screen when in vertical view, giving brands a unique opportunity to showcase their brand and products in a focused setting where shoppers are fully engaged. Shoppers can interact with Posts that appear in Inspire by:
- Liking a post and seeing how many other shoppers liked the post
- Learning more about products and adding them to cart with just a few taps
- Clicking on the brand logo or brand name to access the Post feed on the brand’s Store where they can then follow the brand
The only action needed for eligible brands* to qualify to have their Posts appear in Inspire is for brands to ensure their images are lifestyle images depicting their products in realistic settings and are compliant with Amazon’s Posts content policy. Individual or multiple product images on a solid or transparent background, collages, or images that have overlay text that dominates the image will not qualify for the Inspire placement. Additionally, given that a post will take up the whole screen when in vertical view, brands need to ensure their images are high-quality and have mobile friendly aspect ratios (1:1, 3:4, 9:16). For more tips on how to create engaging, high-quality images, review our Posts best practices guide . Brands can review aggregate metrics across all Posts placements in their Posts publisher where they can track viewable impressions, reach, and engagement among other metrics.
