Managed Service OLV ads on Alexa

What launched?

Alexa will be enabled as a default Video supply source in Amazon’s DSP for Managed Service (MS) advertisers. Advertisers running Online Video (OLV) ads can extend there campaigns to Alexa without any additional requirements. Amazon’s GenAI creative capabilities generate optimized variants, including background images and headlines from the original video asset, maintaining brand consistency and presenting these as ready-to-use suggestions. Self Service OLV ads are already available on Alexa in the US (here).

Why is it important?

Alexa is the first device ad placement to integrate with the standard video template used by advertisers looking to buy desktop and mobile OLV ads. ADSP-MS advertisers using video creatives for their OLV campaigns will have the opportunity to reach incremental customers effortlessly. Their ads will seamlessly extend to Alexa Home Screen (AHS) on eligible Echo Show devices, requiring no additional modification during campaign creation. Thus, enjoying reduced campaign set up times with an Amazon exclusive and premium OLV inventory, reaching millions of engaged customers.
