Manage frequency across multiple orders with Frequency groups

October 21, 2023

What launched?

Frequency groups is a new feature in Amazon DSP that helps brands limit the number of times a unique user is exposed to ads across multiple orders. Unlike order-level frequency caps that can only be applied to a single order, Frequency groups provides the flexibility and control to manage frequency across multiple orders.

Why is it important?

Brands need broader frequency capping controls to limit the number of times a unique user is exposed to their brands across multiple orders in Amazon DSP. When different orders target similar or overlapping audiences, unique users could be overexposed to ads. For example, a large consumer packaged goods company saw a 34% reach overlap across orders from three different brands under the same business line. On average, advertisers saw a 6% lift in unique user reach when using Frequency groups to manage frequency across multiple orders1 in Amazon DSP.
