Insights on overlapping audiences now generally available with updates on the Amazon Advertising API

June 28, 2021

What launched?

Amazon DSP and Sponsored Display advertisers can now retrieve insights on top audiences that overlap with a given audience using the Amazon Advertising API. A new version of the API is available with three new features to help you generate and apply insights more effectively:

- maxResults allows you to specify the number of overlapping audiences up to 500 you’d like returned in one call.
- forecastedDailyReach shows an estimate of the number of unique devices that can be reached across all inventory types when the audience is included in a campaign.
- forecastedDailyImpressions shows an estimate of the number of available impressions across all inventory types when the audience is included in a campaign.

To use the API we recommend first integrating with /audiences/list API. This API will allow you to search for available audiences, which can then be used as an input to generate overlapping audiences.

Why is it important?

Overlapping audiences help surface other audiences that are similar to your intended audience and that you may want to consider adding to your display campaigns.
