Launch announcement

Enhanced Ads Agent Interactivity for Amazon Marketing Cloud

March 31, 2026

What launched?

Amazon Ads has enhanced Ads Agent’s Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) skills with new query editor capabilities that streamline SQL development workflows. AI-powered controls are now accessible directly from a right-click context menu in the query editor, making it faster to edit, explain, and fix queries without switching contexts. The updated "Edit" feature sends selected SQL directly to the Ads Agent chat window, allowing users to add custom prompts and refine queries conversationally in one place. Additionally, users can now open AI-generated SQL directly into the query editor from the Ads Agent chat—choosing between a new tab or current tab—and review changes with a side-by-side difference view that displays query and date range modifications with accept/reject controls.

Why is it important?

These enhancements reduce friction in the query development process by keeping users in their workflow while accessing AI assistance. The side-by-side difference view provides transparency and control, allowing analysts to review exactly what changed between query iterations before committing updates. By integrating conversational editing, visual change tracking, and flexible workspace management, these features help teams iterate faster on complex AMC queries while maintaining full visibility into their SQL logic—further reducing time-to-insight for measurement and audience development workflows.
