Amazon DSP launches Household Reach and Frequency Measurement for Streaming TV (STV)

What launched?

Amazon Ads is launching a new Household Reach and Frequency measurement reporting capability, which allows Streaming TV (STV) advertisers to more accurately measure the effectiveness of their STV campaigns, and to plan and optimize their campaigns more effectively. With this release, advertisers can now access reach and frequency insights both at the viewer level and household level.

Why is it important?

While we know streaming TV consumption is on the rise, there is still a substantial audience watching both linear TV and streaming TV. Advertisers are diversifying their ad budgets and it is critical for them to be able to measure the comprehensive impact across their media investments. The new Household Reach and Frequency Reporting enables advertisers to more accurately measure their audience reach and compare it with similar linear TV campaigns. Using our first-party measurement, advertisers can better optimize their campaigns in-flight with real-time insights. Additionally, the ability to evaluate actual campaign reach against planning estimates allows advertisers to close the loop on their media plans and make informed decisions for future plans.
