The Cross-screen Premium Name Page (PNP) is a character-forward custom ad opportunity that takes over a given actors name page for up to 4 weeks. The PNP lives on all of our platforms: desktop, mobile web, iOS, Android.
The PNP should cater to a specific character or spokesperson and should not include any other characters that do not relate to the given actor the page it is placed on. Using Star Wars as an example for instance, when a User arrives on the Name Page for Harrison Ford, they should only see PNP creative featuring him in his role for Han Solo. They should not see any art centered around Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia as that would cause confusion on the part of our Users that are only interested in IMDb information regarding Han Solo.
This page will walk through the requirements for all versions of the PNP.
The Desktop Premium Name Page plays an intro video upon page load (intro state). Once the intro video finishes, the trailer will auto-play within the unit and the actor image will animate for 8 seconds (resolve state).
When the User clicks to replay the trailer, the full length trailer will expand out to 970x500px and play through the full trailer with audio (expanded trailer state). The User can then close the unit with the “X” button in the upper right hand part of the video. Clicking that “X” button will collapse the video down to the initial billboard size and display the slate image where the auto playing video was before. On unsupported or low latency browsers, the User will be served a static billboard unit as a fallback option. This fallback option must display evergreen messaging as it cannot be date targeted.
A Desktop Premium Name Page lives above the fold at the top of all IMDb Name pages and is comprised of:
The Premium Name Page is divided up into two main states: 1) the resolve state, and 2) the expanded trailer state. Each state is listed below with guidelines. The Desktop PNP also comes with a 300x250 Companion unit as well as an animated character overlay video listed below
The Resolve State consists of two main parts, the trailer video with slate image (444x250px) and the clickable static side panel (526x250px).
A 444x250px video that fills the left side of the billboard image. 20 seconds of muted autoplay video will play through here with a semi-transparent play button over top. Once the video finishes its initial 20 second play-through, it will resolve to a slate image.

The 526x250px clickable static side panel is where all date messaging, call to actions, and secondary copy can live. Character faces should be visible in this area as well.

Once the User clicks on the video to replay it with sound, the trailer will expand out to 970x500px and start playing the full length trailer.
Safe Zone (filled in red)
An optional 444x250 video which autoplays before the trailer, a maximum of 10 seconds. This intro video must include a CTA (different from the CTA in the Static Resolve) and a 1px frame. Note: if the Intro Video is used, the trailer video will NOT autoplay.
Safe Zone (filled in red)
The Desktop PNP also includes a Static 300x250px Companion unit. This unit can be branded for the overall title and can show other characters if need be.
Safe Zone (filled in red)
The Desktop PNP includes a 212×316px Video Overlay for the actor image on the Name Page. This is an animation that can be up to 8 seconds long and overlay will play after the intro video completes. It can be replayed at any time by clicking a replay button in the top right of the actor image.
Safe Zone (filled in red)
This is an image that will live behind the ad and site content on IMDb. It should be static and should serve to enhance the main creative, not detract from it. No character faces, logos, messaging, or legal should be anywhere in the background.
By default, the background does not scroll down the page with the user, but fades to a solid color. If a fixed background is desired, please request that functionality in the creative brief.

A custom IMDb logo is the best way to add that little bit of extra flare to your name page by altering the IMDb logo in the style of your title.

A Mobile Premium Name Page lives above the fold at the top of all IMDb Name pages on mobile web, IOS app, and Android app and is comprised of:

IMDb Ad Production Timelines account for the number of business days it will take to produce an ad unit. Ad Production Timelines include all typical phases of an ad lifecycle such as booking, design, trafficking and testing. Timelines vary depending on who is responsible for designing the ad unit.
IMDb Built Timeline | 20 business days |
Each ad execution has unique requirements necessary to produce the individual unit. Failure to provide assets in compliance with the guidelines and technical specifications will impact launch dates.
