Amazon Ads, DC Studios, and Warner Bros. Pictures team up to launch Supergirl-inspired experiences across Amazon
July 9, 2026
When a film is intergalactic, the campaign should be too. For the launch of DC Studios’ Supergirl—in theaters and IMAX June 26 from Warner Bros. Pictures—Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab built a multi-touchpoint experience that channels the film’s intergalactic energy—from Kara Zor-El’s unapologetic edge, to Lobo’s scene-stealing charisma—across Amazon Autos, Prime Video, Fire TV, Twitch, and an immersive activation in Los Angeles. It’s the second Amazon Ads and Warner Bros. Pictures / DC Studios collaboration, on the heels of the 2025 blockbuster Superman.

Amazon Ads, DC Studios, and Warner Bros. Pictures team up to launch Supergirl-inspired experiences across the Amazon canvas
“Following the incredible success of our Superman collaboration with Amazon, we wanted to go bigger and bolder for Supergirl,” said Dana Nussbaum, Co-Head, Global Motion Picture Marketing, Consumer Products Liaison, Warner Bros. Pictures. “This campaign captures the scope and spirit of the film—the edge, the humor, the heart—and brings it to fans in ways we’ve never done before.”
Introducing “Whatever never quits”
Inspired by the film’s tagline “Truth, justice, whatever.” the campaign channels the film’s tone—effortless cool meets unbreakable grit—matched perfectly with Amazon. Because, just as Supergirl takes on whatever comes her way, Amazon delivers whatever you need. It’s a tone set by Kara Zor-El but amplified by the ensemble around her, including her scruffy best friend Krypto and Jason Momoa’s mercurial bounty hunter Lobo. The creative concept reaches beyond core DC and Super Hero fans to connect with new audiences of all ages and tastes during a competitive summer movie season.
“Supergirl isn’t your typical superhero, so this couldn’t be a typical campaign,” said Lauren Anderson, US Head of Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab. “We reimagined our entire canvas—from Autos to Twitch to a physical activation in LA—to bring the world of this film to life and give fans a way in before they ever stepped into a theater.”
A first-of-its-kind Amazon Autos integration
The campaign kicked off with a buzz-building moment on Amazon Autos—marking the car shopping experience’s first-ever entertainment collaboration. From May 29, the iconic Spacehog motorcycle from the film, owned by Lobo, was listed as a shoppable vehicle on Amazon Autos. Then, from June 10, fans could take the Spacehog for an AI-powered interactive “test drive,” generating a shareable image of themselves riding through space within the Amazon car shopping experience.
Live on Twitch: 1,000 Fandango IMAX tickets
On June 3, Twitch hosted a first-ever Supergirl ticket drop stream, giving away 1,000 Fandango IMAX movie ticket codes to viewers live on-air. During the two-hour sponsored broadcast, a popular streamer hyped the film, played games, and invited viewers to use a custom chat command for a chance to win—a mechanic never used on Twitch.
An intergalactic experience in Los Angeles
From June 5–7, Amazon and Supergirl joined forces for an immersive activation at The Grove in Los Angeles, transforming the space into an intergalactic experience. Fans encountered the authentic Spacehog motorcycle seen in the film, an S-Shield photo opportunity, personalized Krypto pet tags, product activations (including a fully shoppable Amazon merch wall), and other fun interactive elements, giveaways, and surprises. The experience brought the film’s world to life—letting fans enter the story before it hit theaters.
Full-canvas presence
Beyond Autos, Twitch, and the in real-life activation, the campaign reaches fans across Amazon’s full canvas. A custom Brand Store page serves as an immersive intergalactic destination featuring movie tickets, exclusive merch, trailers, and activation details. Prime Video ad placements bring the campaign to millions of viewers, Fire TV integration extends the experience to the living room, and a homepage takeover ensures maximum visibility.
When creative ambition meets Amazon’s canvas, the possibilities extend well beyond Earth’s atmosphere.
