Goals
VIVO, a U.S.-based office equipment brand selling monitor mounts, keyboard trays, laptop stands, and ergonomic accessories, had built strong performance on Amazon in the United States with a return on ad spend (ROAS) of 7-8x. When the brand expanded into the Canadian Amazon store, the team manually created campaigns to establish an initial presence, but the results fell short.
Conversion rates in Canada sat at 7%, and cost-per-click (CPC) reached $1.16. The deeper problem was structural: Canada had its own keyword demand patterns, distinct category dynamics, and different shopper behavior from the U.S. A small team managing hundreds of products across the U.S. and Canada had no efficient way to study that environment at the depth required. Research that should have informed campaign structure—which keywords drove visibility, where rivals held strong positions, which terms matched Canadian search intent—would have taken months to gather manually.
With each product requiring individual keyword strategies, match type decisions, bid logic, and placement analysis, the manual approach could not scale. Every campaign launched on assumptions rather than insights, and performance reflected it. VIVO needed to enter Canada at depth and at speed, faster than any manual process could manage.
VIVO partnered with Adbrew, an Amazon Ads advanced partner with Amazon pay-per-click (PPC) software that helps brands supercharge their advertising on Amazon with state-of-the-art automation technology, to develop a strategy that could replicate U.S.-level performance in Canada without the typical trial-and-error phase of new-country entry. The objectives were ambitious: achieve 7–8x ROAS matching U.S. benchmarks, improve conversion rate above 9%, reduce CPC below $1.10, and scale the active campaign base to cover the full product catalog.
Approach
Adbrew treated Canada as a country requiring its own intelligence—not a replica of the U.S. The team deployed their proprietary AI system, Adbrew Intelligence, a suite of context-aware AI agents purpose-built for Amazon Ads. The AI agents analyzed multiple signals in parallel to produce campaigns grounded in actual Canadian conditions, while the team stayed in control of all strategic decisions.
The agents began by analyzing VIVO's U.S. performance insights to surface keyword patterns, match type combinations, and structures that correlated with conversion in a mature store. Canada was then analyzed independently through three parallel workstreams: real-time keyword search ranking to map demand and intent; Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) position analysis to identify where rivals held strong category positions; and natural language processing (NLP) analysis across listings to surface terms Amazon's algorithm was rewarding in the Canadian context.
These inputs combined into a keyword model reflecting how the Canadian store actually worked—not how the U.S. store worked. Guided by team inputs on structure and priorities, their Campaign Launcher Agent generated complete campaign architectures across VIVO's catalog: keyword selection, match types, bid logic, and placement weighting. More than 150 campaigns launched within three months—a 3x expansion of the active campaign base—built in the time a manual process would have taken to cover a fraction of that volume.
The system handled ongoing bid and budget adjustments as live performance insights came in through Amazon Marketing Stream, enabling continuous optimization without manual intervention. Sponsored Products captured high-intent browse queries while display ads extended reach to shoppers considering ergonomic solutions across related categories.
This methodology demonstrated how AI-driven analysis can eliminate the typical ramp-up period of country expansion, delivering structured performance from week one rather than months of trial and error.

Results
The results within three months of implementation exceeded all objectives, validating the AI-driven approach to country expansion.
Ad sales in the Canadian Amazon store exceeded the goal by 79%, establishing meaningful revenue contribution from a country that had previously underperformed.¹ ROAS achieved 7.7x—matching the U.S. benchmark of 7–8x and exceeding the prior campaign baseline of 6x, proving that Canadian performance could reach parity with a mature store when informed by proper regional intelligence.2
Conversion rate improved from 7% to 9.58%, a 37% improvement driven by AI-informed keyword selection and campaign architecture aligned with Canadian shopper behavior.3 CPC decreased from $1.16 to $1.02, demonstrating that a focused keyword and placement strategy reduced waste while maintaining visibility.4
Campaign scale expanded dramatically: 150+ campaigns launched in three months, representing a 3x expansion of the active campaign base.5 This volume would have been impossible to achieve manually within the same timeframe, let alone with the performance consistency delivered.
The success demonstrated that AI-driven analysis—when combined with human strategic oversight—can compress months of learning into weeks, enabling brands to enter new geographies at full performance from day one rather than accepting a prolonged ramp-up period.
