FAQs:

How do advertising promotions work?

Advertising promotions on Amazon Ads typically follow this process: Unused credits expire 30 days after the award date.

  • Notification: Eligible advertisers receive a communication with the promotion offer and related terms and conditions.
  • Qualifying Action: Advertisers must complete specific actions and, in some cases, spend a certain amount on advertising within a specified time frame to receive the ad credits.
  • Credit Application: Once an advertiser completes the qualifying action, they don’t need to do anything additional to redeem the credit. If the action was performed according to the terms and conditions, Amazon automatically applies the ad credits (that can be used for future ad spend) to the advertiser’s account within 14 days.
  • Usage: Advertisers can then use these ad credits for their advertising campaigns before they expire as per the terms of the promotion.
When will I receive my ad credits?

Credits are typically awarded within 14 days of meeting offer requirements. For spend-based offers, credits appear within 14 days of the expiration date in the Offer Progress card on the Promotions page.

How can I check my ad credits?

See promotions you’re eligible for in the Promotional offers section. You may also receive email notifications about new promotions you qualify for.

In the offer progress section, you can see the status of promotions you’re participating in. Check credit balances regularly as notifications are not sent when credits are depleted.

What advertising costs can credits cover?

Credits cover costs when:

  • Credits are active in your account
  • Campaign spend stays within credit amount
  • Billing is properly set up

You’ll be charged when:

  • Credits aren't active yet or have expired
  • Campaign spend exceeds credit amount
  • Advertising product is ineligible for credit consumption
Where do ad credits appear on my invoice?

Ad credits appear under the "Promotions" section of your invoice. If credits are missing, verify:

  • Correct completion of qualifying actions
  • Actions completed during the promotional period
  • Credit application date in offer terms
