Launch announcement
You can now reward customers for engaging with your ads
October 10, 2024
What launched?
For the first time, self-service advertisers can set up and launch rewarded ads within the Amazon DSP. In just a few clicks within the component-based creative template, advertisers can provide customers with a reason to engage and reward them for their purchases with an Amazon credit. Rewarded creatives and a rewarded landing page with offer details are programmatically generated from the template, making it fast and simple to get started.
Within the component-based creative template, advertisers select “Products on Amazon” as the landing page click-through and “Rewarded ads” as the ad experience.
This will update the creative template to allow advertisers to configure the ASINs they want to promote, the amount a customer must spend to earn the reward, and the reward landing page
Based on these configuration choices, ad creatives and the reward landing page will automatically be built and available for preview within the template.

Why is it important?
Rewarded ads help advertisers drive more engagement with their campaigns by giving customers a reason to click and interact with the brand. Adding a reward to their DSP display media allows advertisers to provide more value to customers for engaging with their ads and takes customers from discovery to action in a matter of seconds. With this new feature, advertisers can build rewarded ads in about the same time it takes to build standard display creative.
Where is the feature available?
- North America: United States
Who can use it?
- GA launch will be available to self-service advertisers in the US that sell products on Amazon.com. Please note that this release will not support digital, grocery, apparel, or shoes ASINs as well as ASINs exclusively limited to Fresh, Whole Foods, or other Amazon Local Merchants.
Where do I access it?
- The rewarded ads ad experience is currently available via the Amazon DSP within the component-based creative template. Advertisers will be billed for the cost of the distributed rewards. Advertisers also have access to two net new metrics — reward grants, the number of rewards distributed, and reward cost, the cost of rewards distributed. These metrics are currently available within the ADSP Campaign Builder dashboards but are not available via Public API, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Marketing Stream, or the ADSP Measurement & Reporting tab.
