View and manage third-party applications that have access to your account

January 20, 2022

What launched?

To help you safely share your data, we’re introducing a new third party applications page that provides greater visibility into the third party applications and services with access to your advertising account. Third party apps are created by companies or developers that aren’t Amazon.

View third-party apps and what they can access:

  1. Go to Access and Settings in your advertising account and click on the “Third Party Applications” tab.
  2. For every application, the user(s) who authorized it will be listed. The application’s level of access is the same as its authorizing user, i.e. a user with view-only access can only delegate view-only access to an app.
  3. You can change the scope of an application’s access by changing its authorizing user’s permissions (note: this will also impact that user’s experience).

Remove third-party account access:

If you gave access to a third-party app you no longer trust or want to use, you can remove access to your advertising account. The app will not be able to access any more info from your account, but you may need to request that they delete the data they already have.

  1. Go to Access and Settings in your advertising account and click on the “Third Party Applications” tab.
  2. If you are the user who authorized the application, you will see a link to “manage authorization” in the actions column. Follow this link to visit the Login With Amazon portal and remove the app.
  3. If a different user on your account authorized the application, you can request that they complete the Login with Amazon removal workflow, or you can remove the user from your advertising account (note: this will also terminate the user’s access to your account).

Why is it important?

Surfacing third party applications in the advertising console increases visibility for admins, and makes it easier to manage who has access to your account. This provides you with improved control over your advertising data.
