Since 2013, climate tech company Sensibo has been developing smart air-conditioning technologies to create a more sustainable world. To further their mission of helping people in homes and businesses save energy and live better, Sensibo needed to reach more customers by expanding their outreach to new and existing audiences.

Sensibo faced two major marketing challenges: with existing audiences, they needed to grow their brand and gain new customers; with new audiences, they needed to build brand awareness and achieve profitability with a lean budget.

Building full-funnel marketing strategies in different markets

Amazon Ads partner Wise Commerce helped Sensibo launch marketing campaigns unique to each of the four countries: Australia, Italy, Spain, and the U.S. Their strategy was to implement a full-funnel marketing campaign designed to reach new-to-brand (NTB) customers, increase ad-attributed sales, and improve year-over-year (YoY) sales, with an efficient advertising cost of sales.

The team created a marketing campaign promoting top-performing products, using premium graphics, engaging videos, and compelling calls to action to craft a clear narrative around Sensibo’s energy-saving capabilities and positive environmental impact. These eye-catching, narrative ads helped set Sensibo apart from other brands and established them as a pioneer in the industry. Wise Commerce used a combination of Sponsored Display, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands video creative, and Sponsored Products to reach each stage in the marketing funnel. These ads helped Sensibo expand their audience, convey their brand and product narratives, drive conversions and sales, and encourage repeat orders.

Throughout the campaign, Wise Commerce and Sensibo analyzed performance metrics, customer behavior, and campaign outcomes to shape their marketing tactics in both their mature regions such as the U.S., Italy, and Spain, as well as Australia, their emerging region. With these insights, they made modifications to their strategies to align with the characteristics of each region. Specifically, they focused their promotion efforts on the products with the most promising sales potential, maximizing revenue and facilitating sustainable growth.

In the U.S., Sensibo’s marketing campaign resulted in YoY growth of 111% in NTB sales as well as a 62% increase in sales revenue.1 Similarly, Sensibo achieved 56% growth in sales from NTB customers in Italy and Spain, compared to the previous year.2 They also reached their profitability goals, experiencing 32% YoY revenue growth.3

In Australia, sales from NTB customers grew 184% YoY, demonstrating a clear success in brand-awareness initiatives.4 In addition, they achieved 451% growth in sales revenue.5
