Sponsored Display launches mobile carousel ads to help build brand awareness and enhance product discovery

What’s been launched?

We launched a mobile-only carousel ad experience for campaigns that have custom lifestyle images and brand logo so that shoppers can discover more product and brand information by swiping right. This new creative format can help improve their shopping experience and advertising campaign performance.

There is no change in the ads console or in the process of creating/editing campaigns. Campaigns with custom image and logo uploaded will be automatically eligible for this new creative experience. The new creative experience will be served on new dedicated placements on the Amazon store homepage and on product detail pages.

Why is it important?

With this launch, we introduce an entirely new mobile ad experience that can help with more engagement from shoppers. It’s the first Sponsored Display creative experience that is interactive to help inspire shoppers via lifestyle images as they progressively discover product and brand information by swiping to the right. It allows Sponsored Display advertisers to go beyond standard product information and detail page images. This will help create a more engaging experience for potential customers and help raise brand awareness while also helping drive conversions.
