Launch announcement
Self-service entertainment advertisers can now run Feature Rotator ads on Fire TV
2 October 2023
What’s launched?
Feature Rotator is a carousel ad placement that appears above the fold of the Fire TV Home screen, making it one of the most visible placements in the Fire TV UI. This placement is now available to self-service entertainment advertisers in 11 marketplaces: US, CA, MX, BR, AU, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES and NL.

When the user navigates to the ad via the remote, the initial static imagery is replaced with an autoplay video with audio enabled. After a moment, the video expands to fill the majority of the screen. At this point, the customer can use the left and right buttons to view other content items in the rotator or continue to watch the rest of the video.

During campaign creation, advertisers can now select Feature Rotator from the ad format card. Once selected, advertisers need to provide a background image, logo image, and a 15-18s trailer video for their promoted content. Feature Rotator creative assets need to conform to the specifications and guidelines listed here.
Why is it important?
This launch enables self-service Fire TV app developers, Prime Video Channels, Prime Video Direct partners and movie studio/distributors to run display ads on the most visible placement on FireTV, driving discovery and engagement of their apps and content.
