Launch announcement
Amazon Attribution launches for Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) authors
30 September 2022
What’s launched?
We have expanded our product to support Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) authors to measure their non-Amazon ads and understand the impact to sales in Amazon's store.
A KDP author can create an attribution tag using the ad console UI to reach customers wherever they spend time.
The Amazon Attribution dashboard will provide metrics and reports for the tags generated. KDP authors can dynamically change the date, campaigns, Ad groups, etc. to gain insights and optimise the reach of customers wherever they spend time.
Why is it important?
KDP accounts can measure their marketing campaigns and their impact on Amazon sales. Amazon Attribution will support both physical and eBooks published by KDP authors to provide a full view of sales metrics to optimise media spend during a live campaign. KDP accounts will also be able to see the total number of pages read and the Royalty amount earned with the Amazon Attribution reporting.
Amazon Ads API integrators working with KDP authors/accounts can access this information using the existing Amazon Attribution reporting endpoint through the Amazon Ads API. Learn more.
