Brands API is now available for vendor advertisers
We have expanded the availability of the brands API to support vendor advertisers and their partners. Previously this API was only available to seller and author advertisers. This API returns an array of brand data objects for the brand associated with the profile ID passed in the header.
Today, assigning a brand to a Sponsored Brands campaign or a brand Store relies on inference based on the product ASINS included on a campaigns landing pages. This means that some campaigns or stores can have the wrong brand or no brand associated based on those product ASINs. By leveraging the brands API, advertisers can explicitly assign the correct brand ids to advertising campaigns and content.
