Ads.txt and App-ads.txt now supported by Amazon DSP

What’s launched?

Amazon DSP now supports the ads.txt and app-ads.txt standards to identify and filter bid requests from unauthorized sellers. Amazon DSP campaigns that run on applicable third-party app and website inventory are now automatically protected, and can only activate against inventory from authorized sellers.

Why is it important?

Ads.txt (Authorized Digital Sellers) and App-ads.txt are standards created by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) to help ensure transparency, and combat ad fraud in the digital advertising supply chain. These initiatives help publishers ensure their inventory is sold only through authorized partners, while giving advertisers the confidence they’re purchasing trusted inventory from legitimate sellers.

Most third-party publishers with available inventory in Amazon DSP have adopted the ads.txt and app-ads.txt standards, protecting advertiser spend from potentially fraudulent inventory.
