Templated Amazon video ads
Templated Amazon Video Ads allow advertisers to showcase a 15-second (or less) video on Fire tablet wake screens with assets that are much simpler than what a standard Amazon video ad requires.
Experience overview
When a customer turns on their Fire device, an inline video begins playing automatically with no sound. Tapping on the unmute icon will unmute the video.
When the video completes, the customer may tap on the video to watch it again. The call-to-action (CTA) button may link to an Amazon shopping page (products, movies, apps etc.) or a full-screen interactive experience (Custom Landing Page or tablet-optimized external URL).
Creative components
This ad format features a template that will automatically generate creatives using the following components.

Auto-generated theme colour
The template uses an algorithm that automatically generates the theme colour from a creative’s logo image. The theme colour is used on both the background image and the button:

The applicable creative acceptance policies must be followed.

- Logos must not be in white or a light colour that doesn’t contrast well with the light background of the template.
- Logos must not have unnecessary empty space around them.
- Logos should be vertically and horizontally centre-aligned with the canvas.

Video content
- Ads containing trailers for content rated as appropriate for young teens (12–15) or older teens (15+) will be filtered from devices with active parental controls, even if the trailer itself is appropriate for all audiences.
- Trailers for content rated as appropriate for older teens (15+) are not allowed on this placement.
- Videos must include audio.
- Videos must not include call-to-action buttons.
- Avoid displaying important content (such as logos or fine print) in the bottom-left and top-right corners of the video. During production, a mute/unmute button and countdown timer are added to the video player; these are fixed and cannot be altered. Use the Photoshop template to check if the important content is overlapping with the mute/unmute button or the countdown timer.
- Please note that we cannot edit or alter your video content; advertisers should provide finalized video assets. All video files must include audio.
