Nespresso and The Weeknd brew up a one-of-a-kind coffee-pressed vinyl with the help of Amazon Ads

The Weeknd has long credited his Ethiopian roots and his mother, Samra, as central inspirations in both his music and artistry. Continuing his ongoing collaboration with Nespresso—a celebration of these Ethiopian roots and Samra—the global superstar and Grammy-winning musician has introduced the SAMRA Origins Vinyl Café, a one-of-a-kind coffee experience that brings together culture, heritage, and the transformative power of both music and coffee.
To amplify the café, Nespresso and The Weeknd collaborated with the Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab to create the Nespresso SAMRA Origins Coffee-Pressed Vinyl—a limited-edition record infused with real Nespresso coffee grounds. The collectible, featuring unreleased version of The Weeknd’s “Give Me Mercy” from his latest album Hurry Up Tomorrow, embodies the collaboration’s connection between taste and sound.
Nespresso and The Weeknd partnered with the Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab to create the Nespresso SAMRA Origins Coffee-Pressed Vinyl — a limited-edition record infused with real Nespresso coffee grounds.
Fans can enter for a chance to win one of 200 vinyl copies via digital drop if they buy a SAMRA product between September 15 and October 15.1 Visitors can also find the vinyl in-store at the Nespresso SAMRA Origins Soho boutique in New York starting September 4. To share his inspiration more directly, The Weeknd curated an exclusive Amazon Music playlist—The Weeknd’s Favorite Tracks—spotlighting Sudanese and Ethiopian sounds. Amazon is also the exclusive retailer for SAMRA machines and ready-to-drink coffee outside of Nespresso.com.

The Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab is supporting the launch with a dedicated landing page where fans can explore Pressed With Purpose—a behind-the-scenes film on the vinyl’s creation —and stream The Weeknd’s Favorite Tracks. Beyond the page, Amazon Ads is extending the campaign through Thursday Night Football interactive ads, Prime Video spots, custom audio, and display placements. One audio ad immerses listeners in The Weeknd’s curated playlist, while another builds anticipation for the giveaway, positioning the vinyl as a once-in-a-lifetime collectible blending Nespresso’s craftsmanship with The Weeknd’s music.
