What’s new with sponsored ads and Stores: April 2020

We’ve introduced new features in the advertising console to help you engage customers and more easily manage your campaigns. Here’s a roundup of updates we’ve rolled out in April 2020.

Sponsored Brands

Creative editing for Sponsored Brands

We’ve introduced a new feature that lets you edit the ad creatives in your Sponsored Brands campaigns. With this feature, you can change the products, headline, and logos in your live ad creative. You have the option to pause your campaign, or keep it active, with the creative updating once approved by moderation.

Sponsored Brands on product detail pages

Sponsored Brands is now available on product detail pages in US, UK, DE, IN, and JP, supporting both product and custom image creatives. Shoppers will see brands related to the category they are viewing. Upon clicking the Sponsored Brands ad, shoppers will be directed to a brand's Store, where they can continue discovering products from the brand. Reporting for Sponsored Brands on product detail page is shown within the ‘bottom of search’ placement. Sponsored Brands campaigns must direct to a Store to be eligible to serve on product detail pages.

Translations for Sponsored Brands

On many Amazon sites, shoppers are able to select the default language for their shopping and browsing experience. We’ve released a new Sponsored Brands translation feature that helps advertisers enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry easily create and manage multi-language content on Amazon. Shoppers can now engage with Sponsored Brands ads in the language they’ve selected, providing them with a more seamless experience.

The translation feature is currently available for the following languages and regions: Spanish in United States, French in Canada, English in Germany, English and Simplified Chinese in Japan, and Hindi in India.

Translations will only be available for Sponsored Brands campaigns created on or after March 27, 2020. Stores translations will be rolled out over the coming months.

General enhancements – email reporting

You can now add email recipients when creating or editing a report in the Report Center. Recipients will receive an email once the report is complete, and can download the report directly from the email without signing in to the advertising console.
