Amy Armstrong joins Amazon Ads
as Director of Global Customer Development

Amazon Ads is welcoming Amy Armstrong as our new Director of Global Customer Development. In this position, Armstrong will oversee the Global Agency and Global Accounts teams. Armstrong joins Amazon Ads from Initiative where she’s served as the Global CEO, leading the agency’s direction, growth, and operations worldwide.

“Amy is no stranger to Amazon, having led the company’s agency of record as the CEO of Initiative,” said Alan Moss, Amazon Ads’ Vice President of Global Sales. “She will bring a wealth of experience and a new perspective to collaborating with agency holding companies and our largest global accounts.”

With more than 20 years of leadership experience at IPG, Armstrong is an accomplished marketer, business builder, and an advertising agency expert. During her tenure at Initiative, the agency received a number of accolades, including being named U.S. Comeback Agency of the Year and a Best Place to Work by Ad Age and U.S. Media Agency of the Year by Adweek. Armstrong was also selected as one of Adweek's Women Trailblazers in 2021.
